April 2026 is shaping up to be a busy one for PS5 players. Starfield is finally making its long-awaited arrival on Sony’s console, and Saros, the next major PlayStation exclusive from Housemarque, the studio behind the excellent Returnal, is also on the horizon. That said, plenty of players prefer to let new releases come down in price before diving in, working through their backlog in the meantime or waiting to see what their subscription brings them each month. Sony has just answered that last question for April 2026 PS Plus free games.
Here are the free PS Plus games for April 2026
After the leaks, the official confirmation is here. French dataminer BillBil-Kun had already gotten ahead of Sony by revealing two of the three titles early, two very different games that landed with very different receptions. On one side, Lords of the Fallen: a souls-like that wears its FromSoftware inspiration openly, and one that earned genuine goodwill from fans of the genre, enough to fast-track a sequel currently in development. On the other, Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream, an anime-based action-RPG that failed to make much of an impression beyond its dedicated fanbase. That left the third and final title carrying a little extra pressure, and it’s a legendary one. Here is the complete April 2026 PS Plus Essential lineup:
- Lords of the Fallen | PS4, PS5
- Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream | PS4, PS5
- Tomb Raider I-III Remastered | PS4, PS5
When will the April 2026 PS Plus games be available?
All three titles go live on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026 and will remain claimable until May 5th, 2026. A quick reminder for anyone still catching up: you have just one week left to grab the four March offerings : PGA Tour 2K25, Monster Hunter Rise, Slime Rancher 2, and The Elder Scrolls Online, before they’re gone.
