Since the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, and especially off the back of Animal Crossing: New Horizons‘ phenomenal success, the company has been rolling out one relaxing, creative experience after another. ACNH made its return on the new console in an optimized version, followed by Pokemon Pokopia in March, and then Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream just last week. But true to form, Nintendo remains as tight-lipped as a Magikarp when it comes to discussing post-launch support.

Of the three, though, Pokemon Pokopia might just be getting the most attention. Just one month in, the game has already received multiple updates, some more impactful than others, on top of hosting a handful of in-game events. And now, a brand-new patch has just dropped on Nintendo Switch 2.

Pokemon Pokopia updated to version 1.0.4

Work continues on the Pokémon game that sits somewhere between Minecraft and Animal Crossing. Koei Tecmo and Nintendo are pressing ahead with their efforts to squash remaining bugs, particularly those blocking player progression. This latest update doesn’t introduce any new content, but it does take aim at several genuinely frustrating issues.

First up is a quality-of-life change that players had been asking for: it’s now possible to relocate a Pokémon Center even while an in-game event is active. Previously, players were stuck either waiting for the event to end or manually changing the date and time on their Nintendo Switch 2 to work around the problem, hardly ideal. Version 1.0.4 also tackles a range of other bugs, nearly all of them tied to quest progression. Here’s a detailed look at everything this patch changes:

Pokemon Pokopia version 1.0.4 patch notes

You can now relocate Pokémon Centers while in-game events are underway.

In Bleak Beach, the request “Wanted: Food!” could not be progressed under certain conditions.

In Bleak Beach, performing certain actions would prevent the request “Pool repair needed!” from appearing.

In Bleak Beach, after completing the request “Pool repair needed!” it was sometimes impossible for the player to have Happiny accompany them.

In the Sparkling Skylands, during the request “Pokémon Center tour guide!” performing certain actions could prevent the player from having Tinkmaster accompany them, making the request impossible to progress.

Performing certain actions would cause Professor Tangrowth to stop appearing.

If certain Pokémon were waiting to appear, other Pokémon would sometimes also fail to appear.

Performing certain actions could make Peakychu, Chef Dente, and Tinkmaster unable to leave town, preventing requests from being progressed.

Under certain conditions, picking up a relocation kit (prepare) would leave behind indestructible platforms.

Accessing the Pokémon Center PC with certain save data would cause the game to freeze.

During in-game events, rebuilding a Pokémon Center using certain actions would cause its decorations to appear floating.

During in-game events, trades could not be conducted at the Pokémon Centers on Cloud Islands

Source: Nintendo

[1
13,44,142
post-72991","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news","tag-game-update","tag-nintendo-switch-2","tag-pokemon-pokopia","generate-columns","tablet-grid-50","mobile-grid-100","grid-parent","grid-33
["GET
