But before we get there, Ubisoft Qu\u00e9bec has a few more surprises in store for its latest entry, starting with a substantial free update landing on PS5 Pro on April 7th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A PS5 Pro update is coming to Assassin&#8217;s Creed Shadows<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The studio was never going to pass up the opportunity to make <a href=\"https:\/\/gameblog.fr\/en\/news\/72748-assassins-creed-hexe-legacy\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/gameblog.fr\/en\/news\/72748-assassins-creed-hexe-legacy\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Assassin&#8217;s Creed<\/a> Shadows even more visually stunning with PSSR 2, which rolled out on Sony&#8217;s premium console last month. And players can already expect the improvements to be meaningful. \u00ab <strong><em>The upgraded PSSR significantly enhances Assassin\u2019s Creed Shadows by delivering sharper pixel quality and exceptional image stability, effectively eliminating distracting visual artifacts caused by motion and vibration, and creating a smoother, more immersive experience that allows players to stay fully engaged in the world without interruption<\/em><\/strong>, \u00bb explained Robert Foriel, technical art director, in a post on the PlayStation Blog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regardless of which performance mode players prefer, Ubisoft is promising improved image quality across the board, alongside a smoother, more stable, and more immersive experience overall. The PSSR 2 integration has also enabled significant enhancements to environments and lighting techniques, making Shadows&#8217; already stunning world even more impressive, dynamic vegetation, particle and transparency effects, and ray-tracing all benefit from the upgrade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I<strong><em>ntegrating the upgraded PSSR into Assassin\u2019s Creed Shadows was straightforward. The code changes were minimal, almost identical to the original PSSR integration<\/em><\/strong>,&#8221; revealed Nicolas Lopez, technical architect. &#8220;Yet the upgrade brings a noticeable improvement in image quality across the board. It\u2019s rare to get such a significant visual boost with so little tuning required.&#8221; Hard not to be excited by that.
