The topic resurfaced a few weeks ago via Polish content creator Remigiusz Maciaszek, and later through analyst Mateusz Chrzanowski in an article for the news outlet Strefa Inwestorów. When questioned about his predictions, Chrzanowski stated that he was “100% sure” The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt would receive something new soon. Let’s examine what underpins such confidence.

New content coming for The Witcher 3

In his Strefa Inwestorów article, Chrzanowski predicted that The Witcher 3 would receive its third and final DLC in May 2026, coinciding with the game’s eleventh anniversary, on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series consoles. The expansion would reportedly be priced at €30 and primarily serve as a launchpad for the marketing campaign of The Witcher 4. According to other rumors, the DLC would not be developed directly by CD Projekt RED but by Fool’s Theory (The Thaumaturge), a studio also involved in the remake of the original The Witcher.

Eurogamer’s Robert Purchese sought further clarification from Chrzanowski to better understand the source of his certainty that The Witcher 3, and not another CD Projekt RED title, would receive new content this year. “I’m 100 percent certain CDPR will release significant new content this year,” Chrzanowski said, “as the incentive program is still 700 million PLN short (approximately $194 million).” This incentive program, mentioned during the studio’s most recent investor call, primarily targets senior CD Projekt RED employees and is designed to reward strong performance with substantial bonuses.

“90 percent of the time it’s pointed to a Witcher 3 expansion,” Chrzanowski explained. “This is a natural direction in terms of the required revenue scale. However, a Witcher-themed game like The Thaumaturge (Fool’s Theory’s latest production) would also be possible. Remember, Fool’s Theory was built on a foundation of Witcher veterans.” While Chrzanowski’s reasoning appears sound, it should nonetheless be treated with caution until CD Projekt RED provides official confirmation.

Source: Eurogamer

[1
77
post-72095","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news","tag-the-witcher","generate-columns","tablet-grid-50","mobile-grid-100","grid-parent","grid-33
["GET
