For Crimson Desert players, the adventure is only just beginning. Three weeks on from launch, Pearl Abyss’s sprawling open-world sandbox shows no signs of slowing down, driven by the constant stream of surprises it has in store for its growing community. Because Crimson Desert is an extraordinarily generous game in terms of content, but also an experience packed with secrets that are still being uncovered. And there’s plenty more to come, as Pearl Abyss has made clear it intends to give players every reason to keep coming back to Pywel.
Major updates are coming to Crimson Desert
“It’s hard to believe that it’s been nearly three weeks since we first welcomed you to Pywel. Over that time, we’ve been closely following your adventures, discussions, and feedback, while working to make Crimson Desert an even more enjoyable experience for everyone […] Watching everyone’s journeys unfold since launch has meant a great deal to us, and we’re truly grateful for your dedication and support.”, Pearl Abyss reflects.
As a token of that gratitude, the Korean studio has shared a preview of what the community can expect over the coming months, because Crimson Desert is far from done, with a significant amount of new content already taking shape. “Today, we’re here to share a preview of some of the new features and content currently in development, shaped by your feedback, including a variety of content for those looking for more ways to enjoy the game and those who want to further challenge themselves“, the developers explain.
That includes the ability to rematch previously defeated bosses, reclaim territories from enemy forces all over again, and the introduction of a difficulty setting so players can tailor the Crimson Desert experience to their liking. Pearl Abyss is also working on new combat-focused content, additional outfits for the protagonist, new skills for Damiane and Oongka, and the option to hide weapons carried on the back.

More improvements on the way
And that’s just the start. The studio also reveals that new specialized storage spaces will be coming in the weeks ahead, dedicated compartments for food, outfits, resources, and collectibles. More excitingly, new mounts and pets are on the way, alongside a host of improvements to the user interface, controls, and visuals. The picture is clear: Pearl Abyss has a substantial pipeline of updates in the works, designed both to refine the existing experience and meaningfully expand it.
And the best part? Players won’t have to wait long as the studio plans to roll all of these additions out progressively between now and June. “We hope you are looking forward to these updates, and we will continue listening closely to your feedback and doing our best to make your time in Pywel as enjoyable as possible,” the developers sign off. Judging by the community’s reaction, that’s an understatement.
