The biggest LEGO set ever made has leaked
To appreciate just how significant this release is, a little context goes a long way. The current record holder for the largest LEGO set ever produced is a world map build, made up of roughly 11,000 pieces. Sitting just behind it is the Eiffel Tower, a remarkable 1.5-meter-tall sculpture comprising 10,001 bricks, and still the tallest LEGO set ever constructed. Both are impressive feats of design. The upcoming release, however, is in a different league entirely.
According to the leaked details, the new set will surpass 12,000 pieces, and the subject is one of the most iconic buildings on the planet: the Sagrada Família, Antoni Gaudí’s extraordinary unfinished cathedral in Barcelona. The set is expected to sit within LEGO’s Architecture range, a line renowned for its meticulous attention to detail. With a reported brick count of exactly 12,060, that reputation is going to be put to the test, and expectations are sky-high.
The wait, fortunately, shouldn’t be too long. Set number 21065 is reportedly penciled in for a July 1, 2026 release, carrying a price tag of around $600, with a near-identical figure expected in euros. A landmark of world architecture, reimagined as LEGO’s most ambitious build to date. The fit couldn’t be more perfect.
