The Witcher 4 shares yet another excellent news for its fans, the next GOTY ?

Even though it’s been a while since The Witcher 4 and Ciri have made an appearance, or shown any lynx-shaped medallions, things are definitely moving on the right tracks at CD Projekt RED. The Polish studio indeed continues to recruit talented people to develop this new trilogy in Andrzej Sapkowski’s universe. After welcoming Marcin Przybyłowicz to the team a few weeks ago to compose the music, the studio is now receiving a significant addition, this time in the domain of cinematics.

Absolute cinema and a GOTY title to be expected for The Witcher 4 ?

Although over 400 people are currently working on The Witcher 4 at CD Projekt RED’s Warsaw offices in Poland, we shouldn’t expect to see this first installment of this new trilogy before next year at the earliest. To help us wait, however, we might get a highly anticipated third DLC for The Witcher 3, topic of wild rumors for some time now, in the coming months.

Despite a lot of secrecy from the Polish studio regarding its ambitious upcoming project, The Witcher 4 continues to indirectly provide updates about the people working on it. A recent one to her LinkedIn profile actually revealed that Lucie Hennet has joined CD Projekt RED as a Cinematic Animator. Said profile also shows that she previously held the same position at a certain French studio called Sandfall Interactive, where she worked on a relatively ‘small’ game that garnered a bit of heat last year: Clair Obscur Expedition 33.

CD Projekt RED therefore continues to attract top talent in the industry to maximize its ambitious goals for The Witcher 4. Unfortunately, despite a massive team comprised of highly experienced individuals in their respective fields, we’ll have to be patient before seeing the final product. Can we, however, expect a masterpiece as groundbreaking as The Witcher 3, released just over 10 years ago? Only time will tell, but on paper, things seem to be heading in the right path.
