Information on The Witcher 4 remains scarce, as the game is still in development at Polish studio CD Projekt. We do know, however, that the fourth entry in the saga remains one of the studio’s top priorities, alongside the next Cyberpunk project. That said, fans of Geralt’s universe have just received some very welcome news.
Great news for fans of The Witcher soundtrack
The information comes from a social media post by Paweł Sasko, Associate Game Director at CD Projekt, who previously worked on TW3 and Cyberpunk 2077. A few days ago, Sasko shared a message on X in which he reminisced about a quest from the third game he had worked on, highlighting one of the game’s musical tracks he particularly enjoys and acknowledging the people involved in its creation. But it was a follow-up post that truly caught the attention of The Witcher 4 fans. Sasko confirmed that Marcin Przybyłowicz is currently working on the upcoming game. The acclaimed Polish composer was responsible for the music of TW2, as well as The Witcher 3 and its expansions.
Since its release in 2015, The Witcher 3 has been widely praised for its soundtrack, which includes some truly iconic tracks, and much of that praise is owed to Przybyłowicz’s work. His involvement in The Witcher 4 is therefore excellent news, especially as he is collaborating once again with P.T. Adamczyk. The latter is another renowned composer, known for his contributions to TW3, Cyberpunk 2077, and the card-based RPG Thronebreaker.
Unfortunately, fans will still need to be patient before hearing any of this new music, as The Witcher 4 currently has no release date. That said, rumors have been gaining momentum in recent months regarding a potential new DLC for the third game. This could give CD Projekt the perfect opportunity to reignite interest in the saga, and perhaps finally share some news about its long-awaited sequel.
