Every so often, a game arrives out of nowhere yet feels destined to become a hit. Dispatch is one such title. Developed by AdHoc Studio, it unfortunately launched too late to receive the recognition it may have deserved at the 2025 Game Awards. Still, this is far from the end of its journey. The game is now preparing to reach a broader audience with upcoming releases on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
Dispatch officially announced for Nintendo Switch 2
After first surfacing via a leak on the Australian Nintendo eShop, Dispatch’s release on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 has now been officially confirmed by AdHoc Studio. The game will launch on January 28. It will be priced at $28.99 for the Standard Edition and $38.99 for the Digital Deluxe Edition, with pre-orders now available at a special 10% discount. Until launch, this reduces the prices to $26.09 and $35.09, respectively.
The Digital Deluxe Edition also includes a bonus digital artbook of around 100 pages, along with four digital comics totaling more than 40 pages. At the time of writing, there are also no plans for a physical edition of Dispatch. AdHoc Studio has additionally confirmed that the Nintendo Switch 2 version will be offered as a free upgrade for owners of the Nintendo Switch release.
It’s hard not to recommend this excellent end-of-year surprise from a team of former Telltale Games developers. Presented as an eight-episode episodic adventure, Dispatch blends sharp humor with a superhero-driven narrative, brought to life by an impressive voice cast that includes Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad), Laura Bailey (The Last of Us Part II), Jeffrey Wright (The Batman), Matthew Mercer (Overwatch), and more. It promises to be a standout experience on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2
